THE BULLETIN-------------------------------------------------------

Space Weather is a discipline that describes variations in the space environment between the Sun and the Earth, which can have an impact on systems and technologies both in orbit and on the ground. A Space Weather event begins on the Sun and influences interplanetary space, through which it can reach the Earth’s environment. Here, it interacts with the Earth’s magnetosphere and ionosphere, with potential impacts on various aspects of human technology (and even on human health). INGV, through its Environment Department, is very active in monitoring Space Weather conditions over Italy and the Mediterranean area, by means of continuous observations carried out by ionospheric and geomagnetic observatories.
The Space Weather Bulletin for the Mediterranean area, issued on a weekly basis and prepared by a dedicated Working Group, represents a summary of these observations, preceded by an introductory section on solar and interplanetary activity based on data from other international institutions.

DATASET---------------------------------------------------------

The DATA folder contains all the datasets related to the parameters described in the different sections of the Bulletin (starting from Section 2).

Each file:

-Is named according to the corresponding Bulletin section.

-Is in JSON format, and follows a standardized structure with two main sections:

-metadata: Describes each parameter, including units, source, and format.

-data: A list of timestamped entries reporting the parameter values.
